New iMDB tweak

After launching the italian version, the internet movie database has provided us with another tweak, creating a better visual experience for its users on the page relevant for each actor. Therefore, the movies that particular actor has worked upon are displayed in a more appealing manner: alternate row colors and movie posters. Here’s an example for Leonardo di Caprio’s page:

That’s the number of movies that I have seen and voted on IMDb. You can bet that there are also other movies which I have seen but totally forgot to vote them. This is what Denmark makes a human being do! When I got in Aarhus in August last year, I had had only 210 titles in my vote list and now.. 290 more.

I have noticed one thing though: it is harder and harder for me to get impressed by a movie and give it a 10. Come to think about it, the last one I awarded a 10 was “Running Scared” and I did it mostly because of the pedophile scene which made me freak out.

The movie “Code 46″. Another impressive performance by Tim Robbins. An absolutely breath-taking Science Fiction love story. Don’t miss it if you feel the need of sheding some tears. Definetly worths it! IMDb link
The Iron Maiden song “Afraid to shoot strangers”. I’m not quite sure why I love it so much at the moment. It might have something to do with the nice moments I have had in the “Suburbia” club in Bucharest. I’m not sure ’bout it but it feels like a good reason at the moment

I’m just taking a break from sleeping and realised that I have to share some random thoughts over here.

Has it ever happened to you to dream something extremely beautiful or entertaining, wake up all of a suddent and forget everything that you have dreamed about in an instant? That pisses me off a lot! I just want to remember what the dream was about and I bloody can’t (cunt could be a good typo for the English pronunciation, wouldn’t it?)

How do you guys react if you are on the verge of a sleepless night and the sun starts to shine? I tend to be less sleepy and accept the idea that a new day has come. Just imagine that the morning crepusculum tends to fade in around 3:40 in Denmark in this time of the year and if I would really want to (although I know, deep down in my heart that this is wrong), I would be able to resist for the rest of the entire day without sleeping but with some headache and with the feeling of blisters in my eyes. This last effect I was talking about is only present if I had used the computer the night before though.

How well do you get to know a person through his blog? How do you perceive the words he is saying? Do you imagine him as being in front of a crowd with a microphone and everybody is listening him or do you imagine as he is having a private conversation with you? Well, if you imagine that you are having a private conversation with me then don’t hesitate to contact me Just kidding, I’m fully booked for the summer.

Has it ever happened to you to miss a person or a situation although you have never spent time with that person or you have never been in that situation?

Why the hell is Pringles s God damn expensive? Why are all the websites hard to be made compatible with Internet Explorer? FFS, I have started seing this browser as Henry Fonda in 12 Angry Men! The “guy” that changes everybody’s opinion and then finally succeeds! There was that Romanian virus that scanned the infected computer for shitty music (manele) and deleted the files. I bet that someone can make something for humanity and create a virus that would automatically uninstall iexplorer and install any other decent browser such as Mozilla Firefox or Google Chrome.

Meh, I guess I have too much of spare time and I waste it with too many philosophies.

Some new stuff

Well, as you could see from my previous post, I have managed to finish both projects that I had for school and I went back to my original schedule: go to school in the morning, sleep the rest of the time. Well, the reason I am doing this is that we are not far from the final year project (I think this is going to be a tough one) and, undoubtfully, I need to get some rest, right?

Another idea that came to my mind while working on the two projects I was talking about, was an idea for a personal project which I hope will see the light sometimes in the next 6 months (now, don’t hurry me , I also have school and I will be going to Romania for approximately 40 days. Nevertheless, this idea will be worked upon and I am pretty damn sure it will be successfull. I just have to develop my ajax skills in the next month (maybe while working on the next school project?) and it should all be alright since I will cooperate with an experienced graphic designer and php programmer

Other than that, my respect towards Leonardo di Caprio grew yet again. After seing The Departed and Blood Diamond shortly after their premieres, I have seen Body of Lies last night and man, he can act! On the other hand, Russel Crowe keeps getting more lame with each movie that passes, I hope he will snap out of it soon.
