I was just thinking of making a sumup of my last 9 months, months that I spent in the city of Aarhus, Denmark. Frankly, before I got here, my expectations were totally different and that is the first moral of this post: Your expectations will never be fulfilled. It is not once that I thought about how my life would have been, had I went to university in Romania but then some Limp Bizkit lyrics struck my mind: What’s done is done, you just leave it alone and don’t regret it.

Before I got here, I thought I can read people just by looking at them and the reading wasn’t just about poker games. Well, I have to say that I have developed my skill pretty well for the past months since now I am very reluctant about liking someone at a first glance. And I have reasons, trust me. Another thing to keep in mind in life: Never trust people unless you are pretty damn sure that they deserve it. People whom I thought were my friends did some nasty stuff (I won’t go into details) and that prove me yet again that everybody is on their own.

Remember the Fight Club quote stating that “You are not a beautiful and unique snowflake, You are the same decaying organic matter as everyone else“. As harsh as it may sound, that is the truth. You are only unique for yourself and that’s the most unique you will ever get. Consider yourself unique cause that is the only way to go through life and don’t let anyone prove you wrong. Although you are wrong, just don’t let them do that!

A very beautiful friendship can be started just by drinking a cup of tea with someone in the 1st day of the year.

You can get really good at something with enough practice. Actions vary from playing FIFA to drinking beer in my case but I bet that if I practice at something else, I may get good in that. Practice makes perfection.
