Well, I am back and I can say from all of my heart that yesterday and today have been the best days I have had since I came in Denmark last August. I was sailing in Northern Jutland with 3 of the most lovely people I have ever met and although I won’t show any pictures of them on the blog, nor I will tell you their names, I just want to publicly express my gratitude towards them and this wonderful time that we spent together!
Saturday, the 23rd of May
10:00 I was up and ready to head for downtown Aarhus. I left from Brabrand Nord at 10 o’clock and although the weather didn’t look great, I was pretty confident that it will get better
10:30 I got to the Aarhus Train Station (Banegardspladsen) and I bought a ticket to head for Hobro, a city a little bit Nothern of Randers. As the first train heading for Hobro was at 11:16, I went to 7/11 and bought myself a cup of hot chocolate. It wasn’t very expensive and was worth the price. My shock was when I took the following picture of the cup and it looked like it was made with a professional camera although I am using a poor 4 megapixels HP Photosmart M22
11:14 The train came into the station and I went on it. I was shocked however to learn that 2 trains going in totally different dirrections can stay on the same track at the same time. Before I realised that, I was about to head for Strue/Viborg and my train towards Hobro was leaving. I went, checked the schedule, called my friend to say that I will be late and went to grab yet another cup of hot chocolate.
12:40 We all met in front of the Hobro train station and I was picked up with the car from there. We headed for the Nibe Harbor, with a small stopover in Nibe. After putting all the gear and stuff on the boat, we were ready to sail away!
around 17:00 We arrived in Attrup Harbor. Although the first idea was to just stop over here and continue the journey a little further west on the fjyord, we decided to stay here for the night. I have to say that it was a very wise choice since we had a very cosy time during the barbecue we had during the night and not only. It was a damn nice place to stay and waste time. Actually, time isn’t wasted if you just hang around with people you like so I used that word wrongly in the last sentence
During this evening, my camera broke down and I could only get a few pictures later the next day.
Sunday, the 24th of May
10:00 I will let the video speak for itself ![]()
13:00 We headed back to Nibe, using only the power of the engine, unlike the previous day when we also used the power of the wind. After getting in Nibe and putting all the stuff back in the car, we went to Aalborg where I was dropped off at the train station. Since it was after 16:00, I managed to buy an Orange Ticket to go back to Aarhus, cheaper by around 60kr
While on the train, I continued the work on the final year project and I didn’t even realise when I got back in Aarhus.
The trip is represented on the following map:
Aarhus – Hobro : Train
Hobro – Nibe: Car
Nibe – Attrup: Boat (overnight in Attrup)
Attrup – Nibe: Boat
Nibe – Aalborg: Car
Aalborg – Aarhus: Train

I will post some random pictures over here and I would like to thank once again the 3 people I shared this weekend with! It was amazing!

Nice trip. So that’s why you’ve been offline for this last couple of days:) Btw, I just realized I haven’t heard your voice in months….almost a year now actually. See you soon and I’m glad you had such a lovely time.
I won’t ask about their names because it’s not likely I not them anyway. Yet, how did you come across them?
Thanks, deA!
We shall see each other in less than 2 months, in Bucharest!
